The City of San Clemente is organizing a meeting for North Beach residents to engage with 24 Carrots and city officials regarding proposed terms for a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) that would allow 24 Carrots to legally and responsibly host private events at the Ole Hanson Beach Club in the future. These terms were initially presented to the San Clemente Planning Commission on June 19th, during which commissioners noted that the community had not been given sufficient time to review the conditions and offer feedback. Additionally, certain aspects of the resolutions were found to be inconsistent or conflicting, necessitating revisions and clarifications.

Subsequently, city staff were tasked with initiating discussions with the North Beach community and 24 Carrots to seek consensus on the conditions before proceeding with revisions. After this meeting a revised draft will be provided to residents, allowing ample time for review and feedback prior to the August 21st Planning Commission meeting, where the conditional use permit will be reevaluated.
